Eine Standpumpe gehört zur absoluten Grundausstattung eines jeden Radlers, egal ob Pendler, Mountainbiker, Rennradler oder Crosser. Grund genug für uns, den Markt etwas unter die Lupe zu nehmen: In unserer Bestenliste Standpumpen.
Worauf muss man bei einer Standpumpe achten?
Worauf gilt es also beim Kauf einer Standpumpe zu achten? Zunächst sollte das Einsatzgebiet abgesteckt werden. Ist man nur mit dem Mountainbike unterwegs, braucht man wohl kaum eine Lftpumpe die 20 Bar in die Reifen bekommt. Umgekehrt gilt es für die Rennradler und Crosser unter euch eben darauf zu achten, dass die Pumpe auch mit hohen Drücken zurechtkommt und die Bedienkräfte hier nicht zu hoch sind.
Eine wichtige Rolle spielt auch das Manometer. Jeder ambitionierte Hobbyradler möchte wissen, wieviel Druck in seinen Reifen ist – dazu ist ein Manometer unerlässlich. Hier gibt es große Unterschiede bei unserem Standpumpen-Test: Mal ist das Ziffernblatt zu klein, mal zu feingliedrig, manchmal ist das Manometer schlicht ungenau.
Neben diesen technischen Gegebenheiten darf auch die Ergonomie der Standpumpe nicht vergessen werden. Ist die Standpumpe zu hoch oder zu niedrig? Ist der Griff angenehm? Wackelt die Pumpe oder steht sie fest am Boden? All das sind Dinge, die oftmals den Unterschied zwischen Lust und Frust ausmachen.
Wie testen wir die Standpumpen?
Wir haben uns alle Standpumpen im Test genau angeschaut und auf Herz und Nieren (bzw. Luftkolben) getestet. Um uns ein Bild über die Pumpleistung zu machen, haben wir einen großvolumigen Mountainbikereifen (29×2,4″) und einen schmalen Rennradreifen (23mm) auf Druck gebracht. Beim Mountainbikereifen waren das Ziel 2 Bar, beim schmalen Rennradreifen mussten die Pumpen bis 8 Bar herhalten. Abschließend überprüfen wir den angezeigten Druck mit einem Schwalbe Airmax Pro Manometer auf Korrektheit.
Außerdem mussten die Luftpumpen unseren prüfenden Blicken standhalten. Wie ist die Verarbeitung? Kippt die Standpumpe beim Pumpen? Wie fühlt sich der Griff an? All das sind Punkte, die in unsere Bewertung miteinfließen.
